I feel like I’m the only one who isn’t drinking the Mazda design Kool-Aid, at least on their smaller cars. I personally think the Mazda 3 and below are over designed messes.

The CX-3 is one of Mazda’s worse designs right now IMO. The CX-5 is far better and even then I prefer the Tucson.

I think the 6 is beautiful. The CX-5 and new CX-9 are pretty sharp as well. Even the 2 looks pretty good.

I want to like the 3, but something is just a little off about it. It’s still not ugly (Cruze, Civic, Elantra, Forte), but there are more attractive competitors (Jetta, Focus).

And then there’s the CX-3. That thing is just an eye sore.

I like the 6, CX-5 and up, but yeah, the 3 just is shaped weird. When I see one, I think of how Jeremy Clarkson described the Crossfire.

I looked at CX-3s a weekend ago. They were really nice looking on the outside and the inside, but they are really small! They are based on the Mazda 2, not the Mazda 3 which means they have itty bitty trunks and cost nearly as much as a CX-5.
